Susan F. Quimpo is the co-editor and co-author of the book, Subversive Lives: A Family Memoir of the Marcos Years (Anvil Publishing, 2012). Subversive Lives is the true story of a middle-class family drawn into the anti-dictatorship movement prior to and during the turbulent years of martial law (1972-1986). Eventually, the Quimpo siblings are pursued, arrested and face life-threatening challenges in Marcosís prisons. Today, in an effort to combat historical revisionism, Susan spends much of her free time speaking to school audiences to tell the younger generations the truth about the martial law years under Marcos.
