Claude Tayag is a known Filipino painter, sculptor, handy chef, food writer, and columnist in the Philippine Star. His first book, Food Tour, a collection of essays, peppered liberally with his drawings and recipes, was awarded the Best Philippine Culinary Travel Guide by the Madrid-based Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2007. He is one of six chefs who co-authored KULINARYA – A Guidebook to Philippine Cuisine, and also served as its food stylist.
